Child Passenger Safety

Motor vehicle crashes are a leading cause of death among children, and fatalities in rural areas outnumber urban areas by more than 2 to 1. (http://www.usc.edu/programs/ctvip/docs/csn-precious-cargo.pdf) Proper child passenger safety can reduce and even prevent these deaths. In 2012, the number of children 5 and under whose lives were saved due to restraint use was 284. (http://www.safekids.org/child-passenger-safety)

This section provides resources for training and educating the public about child passenger safety.
