Commercial vehicle crashes affect more than just the commercial vehicle operators. In many cases, a commercial vehicle rollover or spilled load can impact transportation mobility for hours. In commercial vehicle crashes that result in fatalities, 71 percent of the fatalities are occupants of the other vehicle involved in the crash.
