Highway Safety Improvement Program (HISP)

The Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) is a Federal aid program that aims to reduce traffic fatalities and injuries on all public roadways. One component of HSIP is the High Risk Rural Roads program, which provides funding for projects on rural roadways with significant safety risks. HSIP also produces a number of resources, including factsheets, safety checklists, manuals, and assessment tools.

This section provides resources and trainings created by the Highway Safety Improvement Program.
