USDOT opens FY 2024 SS4A NOFO, announces upcoming deadlines & webinar dates

National Summit on Rural Road Safety

BOZEMAN, MONTANA – 2/22/2024 – The U.S. Department of Transportation recently announced the FY 2024 Notice of Funding Opportunity for Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) is now open.

SS4A funds regional, local, and Tribal initiatives that prevent deaths and serious injuries on roadways. The announcement also included approaching deadlines and webinars.

“It’s on rural roadways that 43 percent of roadway fatalities occur in the U.S., though only 19 percent of the population lives in rural areas,” said Jaime Sullivan, director of the National Center for Rural Road Safety. “Rural agencies should take advantage of this SS4A opportunity for funding to reduce deaths and serious injury crashes on the nation’s rural roadways.”
