Road Safety Champion Program graduates 69, announces fall registration dates

BOZEMAN, MONTANA – 7/9/2025 – The National Center for Rural Road Safety (the Center) is proud to announce its latest Road Safety Champion Program (RSCP) graduating classes.

The RSCP is a nationally recognized certification program that provides intensive ‘Road Safety 101’ training through web-based modules that cover the core topics of road safety and road safety within the planning and engineering, maintenance and construction, first responders, and public health career pathways.

The graduating classes from December 2024 to June 2025 saw 69 practitioners graduate, including the program’s first graduate of the Maintenance and Construction pathway, who also was first to achieve completion of two pathways.

In addition to being offered by the Center, Local Technical Assistance Programs (LTAPs) also offer the certification.

“It has been so rewarding to see this program grow, attract new participants across various disciplines, and better equip practitioners to save lives on rural roadways,” said Jaime Sullivan, director of the Center. “Their accomplishments further demonstrate the value and growth of the RSCP program, and we hope to see more multi-pathway graduates in the future.”

“Congratulations to the recent graduates, from both the Center and LTAPs,” she added.

If you are interested in becoming a RSCP Champion, registration is now open for August-December 2025 modules. We are also extremely excited to announce the pilots of the First Responder and Public Health modules which will take place October through December.
