Sometimes unlikely partners fall in love.

After a tale of winding roads and tragic deaths led to a heated desire to find a solution, an unassuming – yet natural – connection between rural road safety and public health budded.

Truly, there is no better match for saving lives on rural roads. Together, they will captivate the hearts of rural road users across America and become a beacon of hope and collaboration to drive fatal crashes to zero.

For instance, prompt post-crash care increases the odds of severely injured patients by 25 percent if treated in a hospital that is at least a Level 1 trauma center. After all, 20 percent of trauma deaths are preventable when optimal and emergency and trauma care in place.

Rural road safety is a public health issue and a key to saving the lives of your neighbors.
