USDOT Launches Thriving Communities Program

BOZEMAN, MONTANA – 10/14/2022 – The U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) and U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) recently launched Thriving Communities, a $30 million program that helps communities access federal infrastructure funding for transformative projects.

The program, which is under the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, will pair applicants with organizations that will provide technical assistance, planning, and capacity building support to take projects from conception to delivery. The program is focused on supporting under-resourced and disadvantaged urban, rural, and Tribal communities.

Interested communities are encouraged to submit a Letter of Interest (LOI) prior to Dec. 6, with the Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for capacity builders open until Nov. 22. Fact sheets are available on the Thriving Communities webpage.
