Home Safely: National Center for Rural Road Safety Launches New Podcast

BOZEMAN, MONTANA — 10/16/2025 — The National Center for Rural Road Safety (the Center) has launched a new podcast called Home Safely, designed to spotlight the stories, strategies, and solutions shaping rural road safety across America.

Each episode features conversations with transportation professionals, safety advocates, and policymakers working on the front lines of the rural transportation system. With topics ranging from proven safety countermeasures to post-crash care to intersection design and behavioral strategies, Home Safely  bridges the gap between technical insight and practical solutions for rural communities.

The inaugural episode features a discussion between Center Director Jaime Sullivan and host Kevin Elliott about the Center’s mission and vision for its work in rural transportation.

“With Home Safely, we hope to amplify the voices of practitioners confronting rural road risks every day and inspire collaboration that leads to safer outcomes for all,” Sullivan said. “This podcast showcases challenges, strategies, and innovations shaping the future of rural road safety.”

“We want Home Safely to be a leading spot where people can find the information and empowerment they need to make their rural roads safer,” she added.

Listeners can find Home Safely on major podcast platforms. Each episode includes a transcript, Q&A sheet with top themes from the conversation, and a list of related resources.
