National Center for Rural Road Safety Celebrates New Graduating Class, Multiple Pathway Graduates

BOZEMAN, MONTANA – 4/6/2026 – The National Center for Rural Road Safety’s (the Center) signature road safety training program is seeing an uptick in multiple career pathway graduates.

The Center’s Road Safety Champion Program (RSCP) graduated 59 participants in fall 2025, including several practitioners who completed training in at least two career pathways. According to the Center’s director Jaime Sullivan, the trend reflects a growing desire among practitioners to expand safety knowledge across disciplines.

“As we’ve added new career pathways, interest in RSCP enrollment has increased,” Sullivan said. “The uptick of graduates from multiple pathways signals that the Center is offering the kind of road safety training that practitioners are looking for, particularly those interested in understanding safety from the Safe System Approach perspective as applied across various career pathways.”

“We are proud of each one of our graduates,” she added.

The RSCP is a nationally recognized certification program that provides intensive ‘Road Safety 101’ training through web-based modules that cover the core topics of road safety and road safety within the planning and engineering (P&E), maintenance and construction (M&C), first responders (FR), and public health (PH) career pathways.

The RSCP is administered by the Center and participating LTAPs.
