Taking a road trip? There is no need to speed. Research shows that speeding does not significantly reduce travel times on rural roadways. On the contrary, it can be deadly.
For instance, if a person is struck by a vehicle traveling at 20 mph, there is a 90 percent chance they will survive the crash. But when the speed is increased by another 20 mph, there is an 80 percent chance that the person will not survive the crash.
